chance me please :)

Okay so I study in Hong Kong and my school follows the British education system, so we don't do rankings or GPAs, but maybe some of you will be able to convert it. I don't know wether US unis require two report cards or one, so I'll just list out my grades from my two latest report cards.

GCSE - sophomore year (form five public exams)
5A*, 4A, 1B

Advanced Subsidiary levels - junior year (form six winter term report card)
3A, 5B, 1D

SATs (will retake): CR - 690, W - 730, M - 670

It would be great if someone can give me an estimate of my GPA for junior year, on top of what my reach, in and safety schools are. I'm particularly interested in Brown, Tufts, Claremont McKenna and Northeastern.

EDIT: FORGOT ECAS!!

In-school: Big Band pianist for 5 years, girl's rugby team member for 3 years, music performer for 3 years, Hong Kong Award for Young People Bronze and Silver (it's like you need to do certain things in order to reach the standard and pass), co-leader of charity organisation, leader of English teaching club. Sometimes contributor to school magazines. Teachers come to me most of the time when they want someone to organise/contribute to charity events for all sorts of things, such as MCing, auditioning, etc.

Outside school: Played piano since I was 5. Grade 8 (the highest grade) pass, with Distinction. Played violin up to grade 5.

Charity: Accumulates to around 200 hours over the past 2 years.

Summers: 2006 - English/drama teaching in an education facility (tuition company) for 2 weeks
2007 - Interned at Make-A-Wish Foundation for 3 weeks, interned in law firm for 3 weeks

Oh and I've left out even more stuff...

I'm Asian, don't know wether that would help with the apps. Speak a few languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, English fluent, German semi-fluent). My school is one of the most competitive in Hong Kong. I'm also Class Representative for the second year in a row. Thanks guys!

Anybody? :)

Unless you get your SAT's up, everything but Northeastern is a far reach. Northeastern is a good shot though......

Yeah I know, I've retaken my SATs already and I'm waiting for the scores.

You are a sophomore. Take the hardest classes you can, and have a great time in high school. Otherwise, you will be completely burnt out!
