some questions:
1. what is the reputation of WU?
2. Is this a good school to prepare for dentistry?
3. How is the campus?
4. Does it have good science departments?
5. Is it diverse?

The University of Washington does not use SAT II tests for admission. Although the UW has moved to a more holistic assessment that looks beyond numbers, your GPA and scores are on the low side. The school is large, on a beautiful campus in Seattle, so there is access to all that the city has to offer in addition to lots of outdoor activities. The science departments are very strong. I haven't looked at the statistics, but there are many Asian students, in particular. As for reputation, the UW is considered by many to be the best state university in the Pacific Northwest. Good luck.

This is the stat from collegeboard.com :
* 1% American Indian/Alaskan Native
* 31% Asian/Pacific Islander
* 3% Black/Non-Hispanic
* 6% Hispanic
* 52% White/Non-Hispanic
* 3% Non-Resident Alien
* 3% Race/ethnicity unreported

so do I have a pretty good chance or is this going to be a super reach?

i have no idea how to chance you but il give you my stats thats i got in with this year... haha.. maybe it'll cheer u up..

Essay topic: a very controversial topic about my defiance during my middleschool and freshman age. Based it on the quote, “part of growing up is being able to say ‘thank you’ instead of ‘f*** you.” That was said by my teacher that wrote my rec.
I know its really controversial, but I think I wrote a great essay based on it. Shows the contrasting images between my junior year and freshman year.

Recs: One’s excellent because it’s a teacher I had during Fresh and Junior year. SO he saw the difference in me

EC:
Varsity Volleybal Jun/Senr year: Coach’s Choice
Varsity Basketball Jun/Senr year: Captain Senior year
Varsity Track & Field Jun/Senr year: Captain Senior year
Class Secretary Junior year
An intern for a mayor for this country’s capital city during his election
He also wrote me a recommendation

so yeah.. haha.. myabe i just got lucky

what is the reputation of WU?

I assume you mean UW. It is the state flagship school, top research university and considered to be the best university in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, it is even considered to be an honorary "Public Ivy". Usually the top students from the in state high schools attend UW.

Is this a good school to prepare for dentistry?

UW has top notch medical programs, so I would assume so. Check out the website if you want more info: University of Washington

How is the campus?

Quite beautiful. It is not located in the heart of Seattle but a little off to the side, still close enough for a big city feel. The campus is pretty big, located next to water, nice trees, also a bustling university district.

Does it have good science departments?

UW has the best medical program in the nation; it is a school that's pretty big on the sciences so yes, it has excellent science departments.

Is it diverse?

YES. It's located in Seattle, a very culturally diverse location. Liberal though; so maybe not as politically diverse.

Also - about your chances. Your unweighted GPA is too low; the average UW GPA of entering freshman is up to 3.7 now. Out of state is also not an advantage. More AP classes senior year might help you; and have you taken the SAT yet?

Sorry but I'm gonna have to say slight reach to reach; I didn't hear of many people who got in from in-state with a GPA lower than 3.6 (not saying it's not possible, but just not likely).
