I don't know if it matters, but I'm Asian. I kind of feel like I am at a disadvantage because Asians generally have higher SAT scores than I do. I'm in-state by the way.

ACT: 31 Composite, 31 English/Writing
SAT: 700 M, 590 CR, 650 W (Took it one more time today, hopefully my CR goes up)
Bright Futures GPA: 4.23
Class Rank: 30/441 (Top 7%)

Extracurriculars: National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Beta Club (Before school tutor), Mu Alpha Theta (Participated in county team competitions), FBLA (Participated in county team competitions), Key Club. Semi-finalist in Hillsborough County Sensational 6 Web Design Competition (I realize it doesn't mean anything but it's the only award I've received haha).

AP Classes: AP Calc AB, AP Computer Science A, AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics B, AP Literature, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics.

I wrote my essay on how I moved up and down the east coast throughout my childhood and the adjustments I had to make.

I also have a question..I took the SAT for the last time today and I know UF's score report deadline is Dececember 31st, do you guys think they will accept the scores from today's test? I've thought about rush reporting them but I've heard from a few people that it will take even longer to process because it isn't electronic. Scores come out December 23rd, which is the same day that they start sending them out. According to CB it takes 1-2 weeks. Should I just hope that it gets there by the 31st?

Anyway, affirmative action is banned in Florida public universities because of a rule passed by Jeb Bush when he was governor. Today, they only ask the race question for statistical purposes.

The scores will count. The deadline is the latest you can take the test. When they recieve the scores and see that you took it before the deadline they will accept those scores.

Bump. Does anyone know how to find out their UF recalculated GPA? I tried calling admissions and they said they can't give it out over the phone. Also, I only took 2 AP classes before my senior year..will that hurt me? I'm taking 5 this year.

Your BF GPA should be fairly close to your UF GPA but a little lower.

My school's GPA is 4.6, my BF GPA is 4.43, and my SUS GPA is 4.00. You can check out facts.org, click on high school students, and then on something about eligibility for SUS system or something.

Your scores are pretty high, and your ECs are fairly good. I would say that you have a good shot at being accepted. Good luck!

Damn..my SUS GPA is significantly lower than my BF GPA..which one do they use? It seems like the SUS Core GPA is unweighted since it is almost identical to my school's unweighted GPA, which is a 3.73. My SUS Core GPA is a 3.76.

I wouldn't pay attention to that SUS GPA on Facts.org. The colleges don't use it. It says D's is 3.5 when it's more like 3.9/4.0. It must not be weighted at all.

Use the form on the link here to calculate the SUS GPA:

^ I don't think they do, even though they are used on that form. I have a 3.94 according to that form..a little lower than what I expected. Oh well, hopefully my ACT score will help me. I'm also a first generation American/college student if that makes a difference.
