^ Why would I make it up? Here it is from Newsweek.

16 H-B Woodlawn
48 Clarke County **
55 Langley McLean
59 George Mason **
65 Washington-Lee **
74 W. T. Woodson
75 Yorktown

There you see the schools in Virginia that are before Lake Braddock, and the only Fairfax County schools before it are Langley and Woodson. The rest of your list isn't better, not considering TJ obviously..

But yea its weighted because we don't have an "unweighted" GPA. Naviance does help quite a bit. Thanks for your response despite your accusing me of making up the rankings..

No offense or anything, but im pretty sure the Admissions Commitee doesnt sit there with the Newsweek School Rankings and use them for admissions purposes. I'm sure they have their own opinions, which may or may not correspond with the Newsweek Rankings.

Okay well the Admission Committee's opinion is respected, obviously. I don't exactly know their list of "best schools" (does anyone?) so I used the Newsweek rankings, which is a nationally recognized list.. I just want to know where vistany got his information from that's all.

I didn't realize you were using the Newsweek rankings. Jay Mathews who compiles this list will be the first to admit it only measures one thing. AP Classes. There are other compilations of FFX school that measure more than a single component, and that is what I referenced. I'm from FFx and all of the school here are known to be in Newseeks top 1%.

Sorry you felt my disagreement on an issue was an "accusation"

^ Yea it's no biggie just know I didn't make up the fact about the 3rd best school.

And AP Classes could be used to measure how good a school is.. Unless I'm mistaken. Based on what information did you use to say that those other schools were better?
