I'm currently a Junior at a in state high school that sends many kids to top schools.

GPA: 3.75 (projected)
SAT: 2270 (800 M, 750 R, 720W)
ACT: 33
APs: Apush(5), Psychology(5), Chem(5). Taken this year: Calc BC, Micro/Macro, Stats, English Language, Bio
SAT 2s: US History(800), Chem(770), Math II(800)
ECs: Tennis varsity captain, Chinese Club (Treasurer), NHS, FPS(Secretary), Project Lead, REACH, Fed Challenge.

Thanks.

You’re probably fine since your in-state.
GPA is a bit below average…, but your tests scores are about top 20% at U of M so that’s good.

Make sure your EC’s are good. Seems like you do a lot of random volunteering/leadership. Make sure at least one you write about for your essay that really impacted you.

Keeeep it up.

O and btw, you must kickass at chemistry.
5 on AP chem is insanely hard to get. =)

Your are definitely in.

Does Michigan take AP scores and SAT 2s into account?

SAT 2’s: No
AP’s: Maybe, but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker

Yeah your in. My SAT was 1960 (640M, 620CR, 690W) and Im OOS.

Depends on the school.

I think in our school, 21/25 people pulled off a 5 on the Chem AP last year.

Mhmm… I guess youre right.

Most of the people who get 5’s take 2 years of chemistry right? Reg. Chem and then AP Chem?
All we have at our school is a direct jump to AP Chem…and its just sooo much stuff to learn.
We only get about 40ish out of 200ish with 5’s. =/
