3.79 unweighted
not sure how to calculate weighted, but should be around 4.2
I've got quite a few Bs in my math and science classes but I come from a really competitive high school. grades have made an huge upward curve but my first semester senior grades might drop a bit</p>

Piano for 10 years
Literary Club: Secretary, Editor
Chess Club: Treasurer
Tech: Task Manager
In process of founding community service club. VP</p>

<p>Jobs:
Tutoring, 4 hours per week (12th grade)</p>

<p>Essay: great
Recs: hopefully pretty good</p>

<p>Awards:
National Merit Commended, tech club team award (12th grade), regional science award (10th grade), passed piano with honors, AP scholar (11th grade)</p>

<p>Race: Asian</p>

<p>I moved a lot before my freshman year so my grades in the beginning weren't that great. I think I'll probably go into the humanities. </p>

<p>I think you have a fair shot at Duke. At this point, just check over your essays and make sure they’re the very best you can make them.</p>

<p>Good shot, I don’t see why not, barring an absolutely horrible essay/interview. Your GPA and test scores are great, and it seems you’ve got some solid ECs.</p>
