I'm planning on applying to Stanford, Pomona, Pitzer, Reed / University of La Verne, Willamette University / Brown, Harvard, Yale

(the list is split into three groups: I am definitely going and these are my top choices (Stanford is my dream, I'm thinking about EA) / I like these places, but if I get in somewhere better, I won't go / reaches, to the max, if I get in, I'll be a little surprised, and pleased)

My biggest worries are my ECs and my SAT scores at this moment (I will be taking them again)

SAT: 1850 (710 writing, 560 verbal, 580 math) (absolutely pitiful, but I'm taking them again and have been studying like a fiend) (and I will make sure that I don't work til 11 the night before, like I did this time) (I'm surprised I made it through the four hours without passing out lol)
GPA: unweighted 3.9, weighted 4.1ish, I think
Rank: top 10% for sure, maybe 5%, we don't rank at my school (or at least I don't know my rank)
AP: World History 4, US History 4, English Lang 5
Senior Year: I'm taking three more AP classes (I don't have any other choices, so I can't take more) Stats, English Lit, and Gov

Honors: AP Scholar with Honor (maybe with distinction if I do well this year)
This is the part that I'm most worried about, because I don't think I have anything else.
Could I list the other AP honors I got? Like, could I say I got AP Scholar my junior year? (I saw that on someone else's post lol)

Quick tangent: Writing is my passion, and I have decided to make that the most important part of my application, to set myself apart. Is that a good idea? Also, if I have won any writing contests, could that go into Honors? And can I put participation in writing contests into ECs?

And now we are back on topic:

ECs: Job at movie theater for a year (20 hrs/week), Creative Writing Club for two years (I'm now President), I created a website for the club my junior year, Book Club for one year, Key Club for one year

Volunteer: at day care for a summer (100 hrs ish), some volunteering in Key Club, the amount I have may go up, since I need hours for school

My essay will probably be about writing, and I have a lot of confidence in how it will turn out. I've already started on it, and I have my amazing English teacher to proofread and offer advice.

My recs will also be fantastic, my teachers absolutely love me (especially the ones I chose)

My counselor and I aren't super close, but she knows my grades and my participation, and I will probably become her best friend this fall.
