Can’t be chanced without some form of standardized test scores, they’re just too important. I will say that the rest of your app looks decent (not great, but decent) but again you cannot be accurately chanced without test scores. I would try to beef up those EC’s, I don’t see any leadership positions which are always big.

thanks, yeah im kind of looking for what i can do to improve what i have, since i still have a year left.

peanut butter jelly club? rofl

lol thanks for your input. :P

anyone else wants to comment?

No chance can be done without SAT/ACT scores. I will suggest to just take out the fluff EC’s that are just kind of odd like PB&J club, Drivers Ed, and Polish Saturday School.

i feel like polish saturday school was not fluff… it was something i spent a lot of time on. this not really like a “chance” thing, it is a more of what can i do to improve.

artness,
I agree that Polish School is not fluff, especially when you have put so many years into it. You may even want to weave it into your essay for college application since it was agood part of your life and I am sure you learned a lot from it on many different levels.

Since you are just beginning junior year, your grades this year will be very important in putting you in a strong position as an applicant vs. A weaker applicant. If you can get more As or A-s, you will be stronger academically. Also, do prepare hard for your SAT reasoning teats, SATIIs or ACTs. It might be a good idea to enroll in a course to help you prepare for the standardized tests. You should do well with them, getting a minimum of low 700s for SATs or a score in the 30s for the ACT, since you have no AP courses. Also, does your school not offer too many APs? If that is the case, then it would look better for you that you do not have any APs. Regardless, you should work on both your test scores and grades, the two areas that you can control, along with the essay. Finally, can you position yourself in a leadership position in one of your more meaningful ECs?

I wish you the best in this coming critical year for you.

thanks evolving! your response was probably the most helpful :)
