do I have a good chance for UCB? maybe UCLA? LET ME KNOW PLEASEEE :)

Wow, your statistics are definitely above average in comparison to the numbers that are posted on the UC website. I am also hoping to go to Berkeley, and in my opinion your grades and EC’s are very impressive. Also, your socioeconomic background as a first gen. is promising. In my opinion you’d have a great chance; are you a senior or a junior currently?

His 4.6 gpa is due to the AP classes he has taken since AP classes are weighted more.

I think you have a pretty good chance for UC Berkeley and UCLA! Your stats are very good and you have a lot of extracurricular activities and leadership positions. Good luck with the process

try entering 12 A’s for a maximum of 8 weighted. Keep in mind it’s per semester
I’m not saying OP doesn’t have a 4.6 GPA (UC) it’s just really…unlikely?

my friend graduated from our high school couple years ago with a 4.63…so its possible but then i guess in that case it’s not a “UC gpa” if you calculate for UC gpa…but its not like I would painstakingly calculate it…I would just look at whatever is on my transcript and say that

EDIT: okay i guess every high school calculates it differently and not necessarily does a high school calculate for UC gpa

Not sure about this, but does the maximum 8 AP classes include community college classes? I am aware that UC gives the extra grade point for CC classes that are transferable to a UC taken during high school.
