Any recommendations will be very much appreciated
-Any Liberal Arts Schools?
-SAT/ACT scores?
-Any certain colleges?
-Engineering?/Business?/Med? What would be good for me?

One small question: Why so many universities?

keeping my options open^^

I think you have a decent shot but how are we supposed to know?! Haha I’m applying to Yale next year too  if you don’t get in then there is no way I’m going to :/.

I say take the SAT one last time, study hard and try to get a 2200+, that will up your application. You have a good chane, and definetly good list of schools, make sure you have some safety schools too. best of luck

Boston College- yes
Boston University- DEFINITELY, my friend with only a 3.4 weighted got in undeclared there and this is pretty common…I would call this a safety school for you
Brown University- excellent chance
Columbia University- yes
Cornell University- yes, however, cornell is known for not giving out a lot of financial aid or scholarship so that is something to think about
Dartmouth College- excellent chance
Emory University- yes
George Washington University- great chance but if any political science/int. relations major, youre going to need a lot more govt related ecs
Georgetown University- same as gwu
John Hopkins University- yes
Madison University- yes
New York University-absolutely
Northwestern University-yes
Princeton University-ivies are always a toss up
Stanford University- if you are from CA, no…the ca competition is incredibly stiff due to so many ca resident apps
Berkeley- absolutely, but dont expect to get out in 4 yrs, the UCs are wayyyy too impacted, also if you are from out-of-state, it will be over 50,000 for an education you could get for a lot cheaper
UCLA- same as above
University of Chicago-w/out a problem
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor-w/out a problem
Notre Dame-yes
University of Pennsylvania-yes
USC-yes
Vanderbilt-yes
University of Virgina-yes
Yale-like i said, ivies are tough for anyone

Having just gone through this process this year, may I suggest a few tidbits? The liberal arts school and top-middle teir privates have HUGE endowments. I know it seems like you are going for prestige, but prestige is not everything. Many of my friends could have attended colleges on your list, but were offered FULL ride academic scholarships to multiple liberal arts schools, and hey, you truly can not turn down a FREE education. Also, if you get a free undergraduate education, you can then have that much more money to go ivy for your graduate…here are just a few suggestions that will undoubtly offer you great scholarships:

Vassar College
Amherst
Wesleyan (in CT)
Illinois Wesleyan ( they are one of 12 universities linked with Oxford’s Pembroke Visiting Student Program, this alone will offer you the prestige youre looking for)
Santa Clara
Oberlin
Lawrence
Williams

Also, you really should begin to narrow down some of your choices, anything over 20 is just ridiculous. Its better to be able to focus on a few apps, otherwise you’ll be spread too thin. The summer b/w my junior and senior year, I narrowed down a list just like yours and added a few more shoe-ins. Look at things on collegeboard like: their avg financial aid packages, if this is important to your family, automatically nix the ones with not competitive stats, this will be hard to get rid of some of these but once you realize what is financially feasible, you will quickly forget. Best of luck!

You are definitely a strong candidate and have a very good shot at USC UCLA Berkeley Boston C Boston U JHU Emory Georgetown Vanderbilt

However if you are aiming for the Ivies and Stanford until and unless you show clear academic and extracurricular focus and passion for them it would be hard for you even with those stats.

Thats why I asked why apply to so many?
JHU focuses on medicine and biological science Georgetown in Political Science and International Studies; by applying to so many schools you would attempt to appear qualified for all and ultimately might fail

Just a friendly advice
Best o luck!

Sorry, but ciaococo is off. You’re going to have a tough time getting into top tier schools because of your SAT score. All the Ivy League schools are reaches, though you probably have a shot at Cornell and similar private schools (NW, etc.). If you can improve your SAT score to 2200+ you’ll be in good shape for every school, though of course the Ivy Leagues are still a toss-up.

Your extracurriculars are really good though, so if you have time to improve your SAT score, you’ll be a great applicant!

Good luck :)

@DarthSpawnus: thanks! but hey i dont understand what you mean by applying to the schools and seem as though i qualify to all the schools and fail. Do the schools see the other schools to where I’m applying?

Thanks for the tip guys…yeah it’s always those standardized testings…i’ll definitely not apply to all these schools probably 10-15 at maximum… and i’ll be looking into liberal arts schools also… Brown and Johns hopkins are my first choice so if you have an suggestions that would be great thanks!

No what I mean is that each school is different in its own way and demands differently
When you apply to so many schools its very difficult to tailor your application according to the different needs of the school

You seem very music oriented so you should definitely attempt for Yale but if you want engineering then Berkeley and Stanford should be your top shots and then and again engineering ECs are very different from your ECs

So its wise to choose a passion and use it to your strengths
Apply to at max 10-12 schools and see how it turns out :)

Thank you I will work on shortening my list of colleges; that makes a lot of more sense.
