I know I don't have any business related courses (and in fact, I know nothing about business at this point) but I got this huge interested in business so I was thinking of applying to NYU Stern ED

do you think it matters if I didn't take any business related courses at all?

bump! bump!
I really need some advice!
chance me please!

stern's a bit of a stretch...last time i checked its is like 8th in the nation for undergrad business/finance...sats are a bit low...try to hit 1450ish...ur grades are quite well so that'll help for sure...u rly needed sum like business internships or activities of that sort (fed chall, etc.) so that'll hurt u i think...i mean...if ur going business ED and hv NO background...what would they think? right? but i'd say u hv a 20% chance getting in early...that's just my two cents...good luck though!

nvm my question about the business background.

tunit, no, stern does not look at your business background.
wanted to say this so people dont get it wrong..

ahhh...that's makes it interesting...okay...i think u got a better of a chance now...i'm not really sure how the stats are for stern...cuz all i can get my hands on are the stats for NYU as a whole....tisch/cas/stern....i would think stern is higher? i think if u can get those stats...then u would be able to get a much better comparison.

"do you think it matters if I didn't take any business related courses at all"

Not at all, I believe I remember reading on their undergrad webpage that they prefer you not to take business courses, but rather acedemic courses. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

according to businessweek undergrad rankings, stern's average SAT for class of 2010 was a 1450. according to stern's website, the class of 2011 was a 1440. not much of a change. (this is of course under the 2400-point scale). are you an international applicant? because it is a little more difficult for intl's to gain admission with those scores. they would probably waitlist you even if you weren't an intl. best advice..raise that verbal score. they really love high numbers at stern.
