Also, I do not know which college to apply to as I am deciding either to pursue an actuary career and possibly major in mathematics or become in engineer. I know CAS is harder to get into than COE regular decision, which is pushing me towards engineering. Also, I am curious to whether or not you guys think I should write one of my essays about my mission trip, as I have been previously told not to by friends and teachers. Your input would be much appreciated.

I’d say you have a good chance. The lack of EC’s will hurt you some, but great ACT score. As for which college, COE is not actually “easier to get into” than CAS. It is much more self-selective and many of the students have your scores or better. You also lack any technical/math related EC’s, so that will go against you for COE. Good luck dood

thanks for the input, much appreciated.

look at the Biometry & Statistics major in CALS, if you still want to check out actuarial sci

thank you, I hear mathematics and statistics are the best majors for actuarial science. So that opens up the possibility of three colleges at Cornell to choose from

760 on math II and 720 on Chem

You’re a competitive candidate. I’d say your odds are 50/50.
