Please chance me in these colleges! SO FAR I have....

UPenn Wharton - ED (it's my dream school, but I don't know if I even have a chance there....)
Cornell AEM - maybe ED here?
USC (Southern Cali...not south carolina)
Boston College
University of Michigan
University of Virginia
University of Texas

I was going to apply to Villanova and/or Bentley College, but I don't know anymore!! arg

Can you guys help me decide whether to keep this list or add/delete stuff from it?
And if I add, which ones should I add to the list?

Thank you so much for your time! :D

UPenn Wharton - ED: REJECT
Cornell AEM - Unlikely
USC: In
Boston College: In
University of Michigan: In
University of Virginia: Likely/ In
University of Texas: In

wharton = reject
cornell = reach
usc = ?
boston college = match
umich = match
uva = reach (oos)
utexas = ?

what should i do to improve my chances for wharton & cornell?
i know that my essays will be very good, because i have been working on them all summer
i'm also positive that my recommendations will be very very good.

since it is "unlikely" that i wont get into upenn/cornell, where should I ED?

From what I hear, applying to Wharton school over the College of Arts & Sciences makes it far harder to get into UPenn. I don't know if this is actually true or not, but it would make a whole lot of sense.

To have a good shot at UPenn, you should pull your SAT over 2200, and aim for 750+ on your SAT IIs. Your AP range is good, and your scores are decent, but all those 3s may not help you when going for UPenn. This is what I think:

UPenn Wharton: Reach
Cornell: Reach
USC & BC: Not sure, probably match to safety
UMich: Slight Reach
UVA: Slight Reach
U Texas: Match/Safety

It seems like I tend to not be harsh enough when making predictions. We'll see what other people say.

Ok, please tell me how you have a 3.85 UW and a 5.0W? I know some Texas schools do something weird with the GPA, because that doesn't seem possible. Anyways, you don't have that many ECs since you're using your GPA as a crutch. What EC's you do have don't show both commitment and leadership (you have a presidency, but one year doesn't show much) I'm going to have to agree and say
Wharton-Big Reach
Cornell-Reach
USC-Match
U Mich.-Match
U Va-Slight Reach
U Texas-Match (don't they guarantee you admission)
Boston College-Match

sinistercharity) thank you for the advice!

peppers)i have no idea how the GPA system works in my school...
I think that my EC's show a lot of leadership (it probably doesnt look like it from the way that I wrote it up there) because everything that I've done EC-wise involved some type of leadership.
For example, all the church postitions that I wrote up there WERE leadership positions
where I had to develop everything w/o anyone's help.
Yes, UT does guarantee admission, but since I'm applying to McCombs, the business school,
it's not a 100% guarantee. Thanks for the advice!

OH, also, do you think that I have a chance at getting a scholarship from any of those colleges?????

Well, the Ivies obviously offer little to absolutely no merit-based scholarships. The only one I can comment upon is UVA, which is my in-state safety.

UVA has the Jefferson's Scholars program, which awards about 30-40 full ride scholarships. It's quite a sweet deal, with additional expenses offered for traveling the world and student ambassadorial duties in Europe and whatnot. A guy from my school got it a few years ago.

The problem with Jefferson's is that it is insanely difficult to get. There's a multi-level application process, and many say it's as hard to get as getting accepting into the top Ivies, if not more difficult.

I don't know much about the other colleges.

Hmm... I think that the Jefferson Scholars program is too hard for me to get :(
Does anyone else know about other schools?
