I took all of rigorous classes possible in my school except AP English because I came to US at 8th grade and my English is still bad. (oh, I'm Asian btw)
However, I'm taking all AP classes include AP English this year

Internship in private laboratory - 40 hrs (about biomedical bioengineering)
Internship in college laboratory - 50 hrs (about biomedical bioengineering

for Essay
1. I established study support group for Asian students who are not fluent in English and having trouble with school work. I'm the leader of this group and have about 40~50 members now. I want to write about my motivation and vision for this group
2. My dad is pastor who moved around the world and always took me with him. I went to 18 diff. countries before I came to US and I think I have deep cultural thinking than others. I want to write about my position in understanding and accepting other culture.

I didn't study hard and then my academic performance doesn't look good but I found my dream and really want to get in UW. Hope I have some chance.

last question: choosing Chemical Engineering vs. Bioengineering for major
which one would affect my chance to get in UW (in positive)?

GPA is fine, but SAT is a little low. I definitely like the essay topics; if you can write some really strong essays (this is really what will set you apart), then I think you will have a decent shot. Intended major doesn’t matter as far as general UW admissions. You’ll have to apply separately to get into Bioe or ChemE. Bioe is definitely more selective, though.
