<p>Asian female. Non-citizen.
Attending private boarding school in the States.</p>

<p>Academics
- courses: rigorous, but took art classes all four years (but passionate about art)
- 1/76 rank when applied to Y.. don't think at this moment
- GPA: 95.31 when applied
- SAT: 700 CR/ 800 M/ 760 WR ...... but faxed better Nov. scores, don't know if they counted (760 CR/ 700M/ 770 WR)
- Toefl: 117</p>

<p>ECs
- violin - school orch. leader, local youth orch. concertmaster. been doing it since 6 yrs old.
- art - all four years, passionate, sent supplement, some awards
- head of school
- fundraiser organized over summer
- interned on Capitol hill
- intern now for an art studio
- volunteer work at an elementary school 10th grade</p>

<p>Pretty great essays/recs, I think</p>

<p>strengths: non-typical Asian kid who really took advantage of going to school here, and everything achievement was pursued independently, because family's not here
gpa at the time (has dropped a little since..)..
And I was very genuine in my whole application, ie essays</p>

<p>weakness: sat score, if they didn't see the last one. </p>

<p>Had the same SAT score as myself (before your update). It’s not really a weakness; it fits all the ranges of a typical applicant (i’ve looked PLENTY :P). Although I’m sure they don’t automatically assume parents push their kids into passions, having yours obviously shine as things you got involved in because of personal interest will look nicely. I was as genuine as I could be as well; I think it’s something they really value. As yale is pretty artsy, I think that side of you might be a boon (I play piano and do theater myself, and I loved the artsiness of Yale). You’re definiately in the running and are a competitive candidate. What happens on Thursday is out of our hands, and there’s no way of knowing for sure. Best of luck.</p>
