What are my chances?
I am not sure about McGill and other Canadian Universities for that matter ( i am from the US), but the people in my school who are applying to UoT and McGill, including myself, (only for Science and Engineering Faculties) have relatively higher SAT scores (2300>). As an engineer, your SAT Subject Tests scores are bit lacking because an 800 in Math Level II is not even 90th percentile. Still, I think they are relatively lenient on the GPA thing as long as you had some challenging course such as your IBs. As a fellow international student, I just wanted to put things into perspective. However, I think you have a good shot, judging from past applicants that got accepted in my school.
Your SAT scores are okay (well above the McGill minimums) and shouldn’t be a problem.
I’d be worried about the IB score though. For computers and software engineering, you need to have at least 34 IB points to be considered for admission. McGill tends to be very strict on these minimas, so you need to pull up your IB score if you want to be competitive.
