essays will be good/pretty good range but not incredible i assume, not boring though
you have a very good chance.
You just have to make sure that your essays are literally perfect
You do not have a very good chance. The acceptance rate is 4%. No one has a very good chance. Are you a URM? First gen to college? Athlete? Some other hook? Is there something really exceptional about you? If not, assume you won’t get in. Sorry to be brutal, but that is the truth.
I agree with Lindagaf ^^^ have low expectations
Top students are rejected all the time. Focus on your leadership characteristics. Stanford like all the ivies want to identify the world’s next leaders who will make use of what only they (in their mind) can offer.
i think i pretty much agree ? there’s nothing really special or Wow about my application. i don’t really care because i don’t particularly want to go to stanford (can’t particularly afford to go to stanford), but i think i still might apply just for fun. just to see, you know?
Wow. A student is on track to be high school valedictorian and is told his chance for admission is not good. I don’t understand how CCers can evaluate the chances of an applicant when you nothing about his/her ECs, life experiences, background, obstacles in life, essay content along with not knowing if he is an URM or first generation college student.
My advice is to ignore all the advice on CC including my advice. Do what you think is right.
