Chance Me: Top Reach School - University of Miami

I'll just start off by saying i'm aware this is a reach school, hence the title; however, i'd like to know if i have any decent chance of getting in. My GPA is not great, as I have moved every year of high school at least once and was hospitalized for 3 weeks of my sophomore year, but it is definitely on an upward trend, as it was probably about a 2.4 my freshman year. With that said here are my current stats as a rising senior.

GPA: 3.2 UW
SAT: 2060 (CR:700; M:670; W:690) note: the first time I took the SAT my Math was higher at a 690
EC:
4-H 4 Years totaling at least 360 hours of community service
Drama junior and senior year (freshmen and sophomore year I was not able to be involved as i did not live in one place for auditions etc.)
After School Choral Group Senior Year
Scholastic Bowl Junior and Senior Year

I will have 10 APs when I graduate (Biology, US History, Calculus AB, Lang and Comp, Enviromental Science, Physics, Calculus BC, Literature, European History, Government) and have also taken honors courses for the rest of my core subjects for the entirety of my high school career

I am confident in my app essays as well as teacher recommendations, I also plan on taking the SAT again, hopefully to recieve at least a 2150 as well as taking the ACT. Also any tips on improving my chances, aside from the obvious get straight A's for my first semester, again this is my top reach school.

Also, I have a part time job if that helps

Good chance. I’m from Florida and have a higher GPA than you but a much lower sat and believe you can get in. Being from Florida helps. Try to improve your GPA as much as possible and apply and hope for the best. Don’t forget to apply to some safety/match schools like USF ucf fiu fau famu, etc.

I’m actually not from florida I lived there for part of freshman and sophomore year but like I said I move a lot so I don’t really qualify for residency anywhere

You’ll get in. Especially since your SAT score is higher than the average at U miami. You’ll even receive a decent amount of merit scholarship.
