Hi guys!
So I’m currently a freshman at Brandeis and considering transfer to NYU.
Facts: First semester gpa 3.918, four not-so-hard courses (16 credits). My activities are okay, and some of the good ones are all education-related, including establishing an educational platform. High school gpa is pretty low, 3.6 weighted (but they like jumped from 3.3 to 3.6 to 4 during the three years). Old SAT: Reading 620, Math 790, Writing 720. TOEFL 111 (I’m an international student).
I have a couple of questions:
Is there a problem if the major I apply does not match my activities? Other word, will my chance be influenced if my activities are all education-related but I apply to econ? And will I get a higher chance if I apply to education major?
Which is easier to get in? CAS or Steinhart? Not art major.
I would be so appreciative if you can answer my questions / chance me.
THANKS!
