Chance me... Transfer?

I am applying to these 4 schools as a Junior transfer from the University of Oregon for this coming Spring 2014 semester.

I am applying for an Education major

My freshmen year grades are AWFUL. I picked doing pre-med because I thought I would enjoy it.. Completely wrong. So I changed my major in sophomore year and got a MUCh better GPA in my 2nd year.

Freshman year: Basically a 2.0
Sophomore year: 3.57 (Dean's List winter term)

I volunteer in an Elementary School special education classroom
I volunteer at an elderly home once a week

American University in Washington DC
Chapman University in Orange, CA
Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles
Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA

I forgot to add:
I’m from Southern California
And I’m half-white/half-latina… if that makes a difference?

And I have good teacher/professor recommendations

Definitley mark Latina on your app—it will help

Most schools have an average transfer gpa of about 3.3, which is slightly lower than your total. I’d say you’ll most likely get into one of the four schools, but they are probably all a high match-low reach.

Chance back?
