<p>My other chances thread got flagged for spam apparently, so I'm going to give it another shot!</p>

<p>Objective Stats:
GPA: 3.98 UW at a very competitive private school
Rank: 1/35 (again, a small but competitive school haha)
SAT: 750 CR, 760 Math, 760 Writing (11 Essay)....a balanced 2270
ACT: 33
SAT IIs: 800 in Literature (taking Math II and World History in a couple of days!)
APs: None offered at my school, but I self-studied AP English Lit and got a 5.</p>

<p>National Merit Semifinalist (so far)</p>

<p>Subjective stuff:</p>

<ul>
<li><p>ECs include devoted activity in Speech and Debate, Theatre, Mock Trial, and Varsity Basketball. I placed 15th in the nation last year in my particular Speech/Debate event, so I think that shows a pretty nice level of achievement.</p></li>
<li><p>I realize that good essays should help my chances at HYPS, so here are some of the comments made about the essays I submitted (both from fellow CCers and miscellaneous reviewers):</p></li>

<p>*"Fantastic topic! The opening was great because it makes you want to read further- and it is unified well through the end. You sound confident, but not egotistical."</p>

<p>"This is a profoundly effective essay. Your story of converting a weakness to a strength is compelling. It's risky in the right way, and you pull it off magnificently."</p>

<p>"The best essay I have read so far. Strong opening and closing. Great job."*</p>

<p>I happen to think they're pretty good, too. lol</p>

<p>ANYway, pick one of these words: Low/Mid/High Match or Low/Mid/High Reach in respect to the following schools:</p>

<p>Hahvahd
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Duke
WashU (possibly scholarships)
Vandy (same)</p>

<p>Well, ur really amazing
but ur ECs are not the best that an applicant can offer (thou I still think ur ECs are impressive)
Test scores are fantastic, and WOW u studied AP urself and got a 5? This might make the AdmOfficers to think that u are very responsible and hard working. And it seems to me u hav great essays...
but, ur list of colleges are extremely intense
Harvard,Yale,Princeton,Stanford- reach (these schools as far as I know are not only the most competitive schools but also the most capricious ones, except Princeton, so I would just say its a reach for now. However, out of these colleges, you have the highest chance of getting into Standford I say)</p>

<p>Duke- low reach-high match
WashU- are you talking about St. Louis? If so, then I'll say a highmatch-match
Vandy: match</p>

<p>Again, u are amazing, but I doubt u are the BEST applicant. However, you may definately be one of the most attractive applicants colleges have seen. All your colleges, for you, worth a shot and you might get in one of the TOP4. </p>

<p>For all the ivies I'd say you have as good of a chance as anyone but with them there's no guarantees no matter what. So unfortunately they are reaches, but you stand a decent chance of at least making one of them.

<p>I think pretty much any non-Ivy school you're in!</p>
