Chance Me U Chicago EA please

Hi guys, I am an American citizen who lives overseas and i was wondering if you guys could help me figure out if I have a chance of getting in! With regards to my GPA, my school deflates grades a lot so the weighting does not really compensate for my GPA in comparison to other schools here on CC.

SAT: 1430/1600
UW GPA: 3.53
W GPA: 3.62

Class Rank: Top 10%

Founded a Clothing Drive (2 years)
Member of Habitat for Humanity (4 years)
Member of Global Issues Club (3 years)
Golf player
Basketball player
Wrote for the school newspaper

Full IB Diploma Program
-HL Math (5)
-HL Economics (7)
-HL Biology (7)
-SL Physics (7)
-SL English (7)
-SL Arabic (6)

The number next to each course is my predicted grade out of 7.

Took a General Physics whole year class at the Latin School of Chicago, got a 96% overall, 100% on my final.

Did an internship at The National newspaper and published a total of 3 articles

Worked as a researcher in the MIT Nuclear Engineering Department for a Month
Recommendation from my MIT Professor (Mentor)

I also provide the Tech Support for a company and do all their IT work.

I did an interview at U Chicago and it went very well with the person, he came out afterwards and told my mom how great the interview went.

Side note: My grandfather was really sick last semester so i ended up getting a C+ in my HL Math class instead of my first semester grade of a B+ and he actually just passed away a few days ago. I show progression in all other classes, and I have never had a C+ before on my transcript.

I wrote my essays already and I think they rock according to my bro who graduated from Northwestern and my mom and dad.

What are my chances of getting in roughly? Also would they consider me in the international pool or in a specific regional pool? I don't have a house in the states. I plan on majoring in Computer Science. Thanks!

If you’re an American citizen, then you are definitely not in the international pool. Good luck on your admission process!

haha i should’ve mentioned that I am a dual passport holder, i hold it for another country and the states. i actually only lived 4 years in the states and my ethnic background is from outside america. does that change anything? if not, then i know america is split up into different regions for each admissions officer, so since I do not live anywhere in the states or have a house here where would they put me? the guy in the interview said without a doubt the international pool
