<p>Hello everyone. I did really poorly on the first semester of my sophomore year because of some family issues.. I went from 3.5 to 2.7 and I worked my butt off my junior year and now I'm back to 3.2. I got 30 on the ACT (without writing). I have community service hours (60hrs) and I'm committee head in UNICEF club. Do you think I have a chance of getting in to U of I Urbana?</p>

<p>For engineering I would say a high match/low reach</p>
<p>If your math ACT is less than 30, I say reach</p>

<p>for EC I have : committee head in unicef, student ambassador, student mentor, MIKVA challenge. and I’ve volunteered at a nursing home before.</p>
<p>For my major, I wanted to go for accounting but I don’t think I can get in… So I’m thinking of undecided and transfer to accounting later…</p>
<p>For U of I Engineering, you are a definite reach. They have a higher average ACT score, and your GPA is really low.</p>

<p>I feel like I have a better chance of getting in applying as undecided… should I do that? Do you think I am high match/ low reach for uiuc business too?</p>
<p>and I dont really know about UIC… I only know that their GPPA program is good… but other than that I havent heard anything good about UIC</p>
