Chance me UCLA, UCB, UCSD transfer

I am going to apply to these schools for Fall 2017. I will be applying as either mechanical engineering or aerospace engineerig. I am an in-state student.

Little bit of my back ground:

I am mix of Asian, Hispanic, and White.

I was born in San Diego, then moved to Japan when I was less than two years old when my parents split. I came back to the US when I was 16 and started high school here (I finished 9th grade in Japan but repeated 9th grade here because of I did not speak English at the time.)
I was accepted to SDSU for accounting out of HS, but was rejected by UCLA and UCSD for PS, econ, respectively.

I have been a part of the baseball team at my CC, and the team went to playoffs in my freshman year.
I have been employed since the beginning of my freshman year. I still have the same job I got over a year ago.

My current GPA is 3.73

All of the IGETC are completed. Major requirements will be completed by the end of Spring 2017.

Comments would be appreciated!

Here is my personal experience and from people I know. Take it or leave it. I am a civil engineering major who was just accepted to UC Berkeley this Fall. Everyone I know who got in for any type of engineering had a 3.93 and above including me. That does not mean it is impossible with a 3.78 - 3.8 . Stats last year were average admitted GPA to the college of engineering was a 3.88.

That being said, I would focus on an amazing essay. The people including myself who got into UCB also conducted research, working, or was involved in our student government. I think UCB likes well rounded individuals that bring more to the table than grades. I cannot speak for UCSD and UCLA.

if you’re in san diego, register for University Link. if you get above a 3.6 you’re guaranteed admission to UCSD. talk to the transfer center about it.

if you register, im sure you’ll get in. getting in as a transfer is sort of easier than in high school cuz it’s more about your gpa and IGETC/major requirements.

of the people i know who applied to UCB as transfers, they all got in. lowest GPA among them that i know of was 3.5 GPA but i didn’t know what the GPA of the other people were but i imagine theirs were closer to the 4.0 range. ive yet to meet anyone who got rejected from there as a transfer.
