Unweighted GPA: 3.63
UC GPA: 4.07
Weighted GPA: 3.9 (bad freshman year)
SAT: 1480
I’ve had a bad freshman year with a unweighted and weighted of 3.4.
My sophomore year average was a 3.8, junior 4.5.
Trying to major into Financial Math and Stats (not impacted in all of these schools??)
Assuming my ECs, essays, and letters are on par with all of these schools, what are my chances?
Forgot to mention I live in-state.
Also legacy at USC.
GPA on target but slightly low for UCLA. Competitive SAT score.
GPA for USC again within range but on the low side for USC. USC legacy will help, how much???
Other than UCLA and USC, the rest of the UC’s look very possible.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:
UCB: 14%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 44%
UCSB: 54%
UCD: 58%
UCI: 65%
Best of luck.
I’m mainly trying to go for USC. I know UCLA is a much bigger reach because they look at fully weighted, and I only have 4 years of approved honors courses.
USC my GPA is low because of freshman year, but I hope they consider my huge upward trend. My SAT is (hopefully) competetive for all the schools I’m applying to.
