Chance me ucss..pleaase

Hi,
I have already applied to UC (Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego,
Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz)...I applied to all of them as Computer Science as my major but I'm not sure if I will get into any of them because everyone applies for engineering and my grades aren't the greatest. That's why I'm thinking of changing my major undeclared. If I change my major to undeclared, will it raise my chances for getting in one of the UCs? I have already talked to all of the UCs and they said I can still change my major...but I'm not sure if it actually will make a difference. So what do you guys think of my chances of getting in these UCs? Here are my stats:
My weighted gpa from 10th to 11th is 3.5.
ACT = 25
SAT = 1680
EC:
135 Hours of community service
3 years of Basketball (2 JV, 1 Varsity)
2 years of Volleyball (1 JV, 1 Varsity)
CSF (school volunteering club, 2 years)
DECA (2 years,club)
Octagon (1 year,club)
Stanford Volunteer (4 years)
Helped at fall festival (2 years)
Play Bingo at Retirement Center (2 years)
President of 1st engineering technology club

Please let me know ASAP ...I need to make a decision fast.

Thanks Guys
and PLEASE RESPONDDDDD!!!!

Comon guyss…please respondd

I say Riverside and Santa Cuz you will probably get in, but the others are going to be kind of tough. Computer Science is still a heavily impacted major, so maybe changing your major may help a little, but in the long run based off of your test scores and GPA I don’t see much changing in terms of your chances at these schools. Have you thought about CSUs (Cal Poly SLO would be very hard to get into though, but others I think would be okay) and possibly some private schools?

umm
is there any chance of getting ucd, ucsb, or uci?
or are those like not possible at all?

thanks for replying though

i’m sorry, ur SATs are really low for UCD, UCI, and UCSB. :frowning: if you had broken the 2000s and had outstanding community service, you would’ve been a shoo-in.

Do you have a great story for excusing those “bad grades”? I’m on the same boat as you by the way just higher sat. If you wrote the best essay ever maybe but UCSC, UCM and UCR your good probably. UCR actually has an under rated engineering program so don’t get too down on yourself. Good luck!
