- this upcoming school year i was accepted into a 4-credit internship with clinicals at various hospitals in the area

Acceptance at UP may depend on your intended major at the time of application. You definitely have an excellent unweighted GPA, but your SAT score is a little low. Luckily, Penn State puts more weight on the GPA and less emphasis on SAT scores. Since no one on this board can review your application holistically, like an admissions rep, we can only give a best guess. You should be fine. If you are at all concerned, consider applying DUS or agree to start in the summer if they won’t accept you for fall.
Do be aware that Penn State is on the expensive side–even for in-state kids. And the school offers very limited merit and financial aid. Many high stat kids and their parents are often shocked to discover that they receive no scholarships or grants, even when offered by competitive institutions. Just assume you will have to pay full sticker price.
I am attending Penn State’s summer session currently. You have a good shot to get into the UP campus but applying for the summer can ultimately improve your chances. Good Luck!
