Chance Me: Wake Forest, Tulane, Georgetown, William and Mary...

Please Chance Me.

School/Home Background: I am from an affluent suburb in the tri-state area. I attend a competitive school (top ten in New Jersey in terms of average test scores, etc). My top three schools in no particular order are William and Mary, Tulane and Wake Forest. I am currently undecided but I am interested in any of the following: International Relations, Political Science, Economics and Marketing.

Reach: Georgetown (EA)

Target: Richmond (EA), William and Mary (RD), Wake Forest (RD), Tulane (EA), Northeastern (EA).

Safety: Miami (RD), Providence (EA), TCNJ (RD).

Stats:

Cumulative GPA (5.0 Scale): 4.371
Cumulative GPA (4.0 Scale): 3.876

AP Scores: APUSH (5) World (5), Seminar (5), APES (4), Lit (4)
SAT Subject Test: US History (760)

Senior Year Schedule:
AP European History
AP Psychology
AP Government and Politics (US)
AP Research
AP Economics (Macro + Micro)
AP Language and Composition

Teacher Recs:
AP Seminar/AP Research Teacher: First year the AP Capstone program was implemented into school and had a great bond with my teacher (A+ in class as well). I think this will be the stronger letter because I will also be having the same teacher my senior year for my AP Research class.
APES Teacher: Did very well in the course overall (A+) and was involved with her in activities outside the classroom (field trips, volunteer work, started our own Sustainable Jersey Licensed “Green Team,” etc), hopefully, it should be a strong letter as well.

Extracurriculars:
LINKS Leader (Peer Leadership): Group of twenty individuals who meet monthly with freshman students to ease the process of transitioning to the high school. Also work to alter the school’s culture in positive ways. (2 years)
Green Team: Co-founder of club that works to make my school more sustainable and obtain green certifications from the Sustainable Jersey program. (2 years)
Religious Education Teacher: From October to April, I co-teach religious education at my local Catholic Parish. (4 years)
Work: For the past three summers I have worked as a stocker, cashier and handyman at a local Produce stand. (3 years)
Youth Council: Volunteer group within Community Soup Kitchen that provides support for numerous events that support the local homeless population. (2 years)
NHS Secretary: As the elected secretary, my responsibilities include maintaining attendance, creating agendas for meetings and recordkeeping for dues and hours. (1 year)

What does Naviance say?

Note that Georgetown strongly recommends 3 subject tests, and you list only one.

fwiw, Georgetown does not give a bump for EA- even if you add 2 more subject tests, expect to be deferred, and don’t take it personally if you are.

What’s your class rank?

Our school does not allow students to see class rank, although I would assume I fall in the top 10-15% of the grade

I think your chances for all of your target schools are pretty high, the chance for Georgetown is lower and on the lower tier. You have decent grades/ACT is above 50% for most of these school’s admitted students. However, I spotted two little problems.
a.) Two more sat2 subject test for Georgetown to be considered seriously.
b.) Your ECs are pretty good and consistent, but nothing that will really dazzle the AO. So try to really rock the essay!

anyways, gl on your app.
