Chance me, will chance back if you want to!

<p>Female
Caucasian
From California
High school is public, but known for high rigor</p>

<p>SAT:
Math: 790
Reading: 640 (670 superscored)
Writing: 750</p>

<p>SAT II:
Math II: 800
US History: 710
Physics: 800</p>

<p>AP Tests:
US History: 5
Statistics: 5</p>

<p>Classes:
7 AP's (to take 8 tests, because AP Physics C is split in 2 tests)
-Note: my school doesn't have an insane amount of AP's, but it doesn't have few either
6 Honors
Classes I think are noteworthy: AP Physics C, BC Calc, AP Computer Science</p>

<p>GPA: 3.93 unweighted (only taking into account freshman through junior years, I got all A's second semester senior year, so I'm not sure what it is now)
4.32 weighted (if I recall correctly)</p>

<p>Essays: Most of them are good. Considering I'm putting multiple colleges on this list for me to be chanced at, I'd rather not go through all applicable essays. But I am pretty good at essay writing in general.</p>

<p>Interviews: All of them went really well except for the UPenn one, which went pretty poorly but not horribly</p>

<p>Recs:
11th grade math teacher: she really likes me, we have kind of a personal relationship, gave me an award for perseverance last year (not an official award, but it says something about how she thinks about me)
Counselor: also my 12th grade math teacher, definitely likes me, very experienced at writing rec letters too
11th grade Spanish teacher: she always checks in on me so I think I made a very good impression on her, I was also pretty good at that level of Spanish</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Physics club: member junior year, co-president senior year
Zero Robotics club: member junior year, vice president senior year
Competitive club soccer: member for 4 years, have done recreational soccer since kindergarten
Tutoring: have been a math tutor for 2 years
Counselor: junior counselor for community service as freshman, then camp counselor for 3 summers
Symphony: competitive, 7th-11th grades (not doing now because of scheduling conflict), first chair for all but 2 years, French horn
Speech and Debate: member since the end of 8th grade, participated in both Speech and Debate events</p>

<p>Awards/Recognition:
California Scholarship Federation for all of high school
President's Gold Award for 250+ hours of community service freshman year
Letter of Commendation for the PSAT</p>

<p>Other things to note:
In my spare time, I do lots of creative writing, but I don't write for any paper or website or anything and have not tried for any awards (mostly mentioned in interviews, but also an essay or two)
I have at least introductory experience in Java, Ruby and Python
My intended major is computer science</p>

<p>COLLEGES:
Harvey Mudd (ED II)
MIT
UPenn - Jerome Fischer Program and Engineering School
WUSTL
Cornell - School of Engineering, School of Arts and Sciences
CMU - School of Computer Science, CIT, Tepper
UC Berkely
UCLA
UCSD</p>

<p>Before anyone comments, I have other colleges I have applied to, but I wouldn't go to any because I've already been accepted to UMich's engineering school through early action.</p>

<p>Your GPA and test scores are within average for the top schools and your ECs are pretty good, so if you made yourself stand out well with essays you have a good shot. </p>

<p>MIT - reach
Penn - reach
WUSTL - high match
Cornell - low reach
CMU - high match
UCLA - match
UCB - high match</p>

UCLA - Easy match
UCSD - Easy match</p>

<p>Your GPA and SATs are pretty good. Your overall academics are great.Your ECs are solid, especially the PVSA. However, not much stands out. MIT and UPenn may accept you, and I definitely wouldn’t be surprised, but I can’t say match because they won’t look at you and think, we definitely want this person. The others aren’t hard for you.
Good luck!</p>
