I know it's rather hard to chance me because none of my AP exam scores and my jr/sr gpa aren't available, but I aim to maintain my 4.00 gpa and am pretty sure all or most of my AP scores will be 5's.

SAT Scores
I haven't taken the SAT Reasoning test yet, but my PSAT score was 227 and my practice SAT scores come out as 2200 or higher.

SAT II World History: 770
SAT II Math IIC: n/a, expect 780 or higher
SAT II Biology: n/a

ECs:
Green Club (President); organized a fundraiser that raised $5,000 for Yasuni National Park.
Model United Nations (trying out for chair next year); voted best delegate of SEOMUN GAII
Global Issues Network; do a lot of in-school awareness campaigns, aim to branch out to a wider community next year
Habitat for Humanity (President); 100+ hours of community service
Science fiction short story published in Fantasy Magazine (paid)
Written a fantasy novel that I'm planning to submit to a literary agent this year

Hooks: None
Applying for financial aid: yes

I know my extracurriculars aren't the strongest. I'm not a varsity athlete (I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at sports) and don't have any major awards, but I'd like to think my strength lies in the passion I have for the activities I do participate in. Green Club has been a major focus so far, because saving the earth is an issue I'm dedicated to an passionate about. I want to become an environmental lawyer after university, which goes along with how I'm in MUN and plan to join debate next year.

I think my writing differentiates me from the masses of other Asian students applying to Ivies. Asians typically go for math or music, and not a lot focus on getting published and such. Besides Green Club, writing has been where I've spent most of my energy these past few years. Still, I know my ec's are probably my weakest point. If not the colleges I listed above, what colleges do you think would be a match/low reach for me?

Assuming that you get the SAT scores you’re projecting and that your other SATII scores are in line with your world history score, and that your GPA stays about constant: There’s no reason that you shouldn’t get into any of the schools that you’re looking at (you’ll pretty much definitely get into Boston College), although the really top schools are always a bit of a crap shoot, but you’ll probably get into at least a few of them.

please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1297808-last-chances-will-chance-back.html#post13958030

It will be extremely difficult if you are applying for lots of aid. But, you obviously have a good chance at all your schools. Good luck!

Please chance back.

bump 10char

It will be all about the competition from your school and region. History should tell you who gets in. Many of your colleges are not need blind to internationals, and with many full paying Korean candidates the competition is extraordinarily tough. Berkeley won’t give you any aid at ll.

I would expand this let to include some good schools that see fewer applicants from Korea.
