AP Tests have not been taken yet. I'm going to guess a 4 on US History and 5 on English.

I know it's difficult to assess because I don't have my SAT scores or AP scores yet. But NYU's average GPA according to the 2012 Princeton Review book is a 3.6 so I figured I'd give it a try.

Yea dude its pretty darn hard to chance with the second most important thing in your application missing!!! LOL!! Anyway… dude u have a pretty good GPA for NYU. Like you said, you’re right on with the college’s average. But re-post once you get your SATs and if you get anything above a 2100, then I’ll hopefully see you in NYC my friend (that is if I get in too!!!). Ohhh one more thing, have you taken any SAT IIs. I’ve heard that test scores are pretty important for NYU. And dude, remember that all that I said applies to all colleges in NYU except for Stern (which is a totally different beast). GOOD LUCK!!!

…

Because Stern looks at different things when one applies? No…

What you’ve said would apply for Stern just as much as any other of NYU’s schools.

If anything, what you’ve said wouldn’t apply very much to Tisch, since they’re more concerned with the portfolio than SAT scores.

sterny: I score really well on tests and I was getting really high scores (600s/ 700s) on my practice. So I think they will be high.

NYU2013: Naaa man I didn’t mean it like that. I was like tryin to say that for Stern the dude would need a much better SAT score and GPA (and maybe even a few major business ECs). Cause like from what I heard Stern is a lot harder to get into than any of the other schools at NYU.

That’s not true. The differences between Stern and CAS are essentially negligible.
