<p>ok first of all, this isn't even a chance thread... I honestly just need to be heard.</p>

<p>YES I'M NEW TO COLLEGE CONFIDENTIAL, but honestly, this has been annoying me ALOT.</p>

<p>This is gonna sound stupid...but here it goes</p>

<p>why do people use S instead of son... and D for daughter!</p>

<p>ITS 3 LETTERS OMG</p>

<p>TYPE OUT SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>

<p>I just don't understand...people who have (probably not even real) children who take "20 AP classes" can't even type out son....</p>

<p>I’ve seen it on lots of other forums too. It probably comes from, like, the beginning of the Internet when it was more important to conserve letters? Lol, I don’t know.</p>

<p>it annoys me even more how they take the time to capitalize the S but can’t even type son in all lowercase! i think the parents just do it to be coolio</p>
