3 AP's, 1 Honors.
Current Cumulative GPA: 2.78
174/523 or 33%</p>

<p>Senior work load:
Dual ECON and Govt'
German III Honors
AP Chemistry
AP Lit
AVID IV Hnr
Law Enforcement I (Taking AP Psychology next semester in place of this).
Pre-Calc Honors
I have all A's thus far. </p>

<p>ACT= 23 composite (Can take again and I know for a fact I can get higher, have been studying HARD just in case and my condition that day was terrible).</p>

<p>Community Service around 100 hours.
All of the essays will be good, I would say around a 8/10.</p>

<p>The school is Texas Tech University. I fall in the % accepted but JUST barely, and I wanted some solid opinions as to what you think my chances are, and if retaking the ACT is needed. I am in-state also. So far I have gotten into okay schools (UTSA and HBU) but this would be ideal for me. I am sending out the application by tomorrow, so it will be for early admittance (apparently this helps..? Not so sure.) </p>

<p>If you get a a 28 and are in the top 50% you are guaranteed admission. (It’s on their website). You should really try for that 28. You still have a good chance of admission regardless. And the upward trend in your grades will help A LOT.</p>

<p>Thank you, any other opinions? Also do you guys think I could get deferred at Purdue? I am doing much better this year then I have ever done before so my 7th semester will be great. Or do you think that would require a retake on the ACT to even get that?</p>
