Chance Me?

Hey all!

Just wondering how much of a chance I have at U Mich. I feel like the environment and just everything would be a nice fit for me, but yeah, idk.

Engineering as a Computer Science Major!

SAT: CR720 M800 W660 (2180)
UW GPA: 3.98 W GPA: 4.3113
SATII's: 760 Math II, 770 Chemistry
AP Tests: 4 Chem 4 Comp Sci and 2 English Lang(LOL)
ECs: Marching Band- Pit Percussion Captain, Winter Percussion- Percussion Captain, Animal Shelter Volunteer(40 hrs).
Field Work(or internships/job stuff.. idk how to describe it): Seton Hall Law - Summer Web Assistant(Frosh Summer), Database Manager for Graduate Medical Research(Soph Summer)
College Experience: NYU Precollege 4 credits in CS, got an A, so I have a 4.0
I'm a white male from New Jersey (i know.. it sucks) but my parent's were from portugal and italy and didn't go to school. So I'm First Generation!

I believe my recommendations are great, I got them from my Computer Science/Math teacher and my Chemistry teachers! They both genuinely really liked me, and idk, I believe they wrote good letters!
Counselor Rec was also great, she was my old gym teacher, and interviewed me for Senior Leadership and accepted me into the program, so I believe she liked me a lot.
My CA essay is heartfelt and I really like it. My why UMich Im struggling with but the Community Essay is also pretty strong, I just have to take out like 50 words.

So yep! any feedback would be great!

UMI: Match

Only concern is your low AP scores, but those don’t play that large of a role in admissions by themselves. But it is a discrepancy between your GPA and the scores.

yeahhh… my AP scores are kinda low but that’s because I was overly exhausted and had very little idea of how to study for an AP test. I feel like now that I know more I’ll do better on my next set of AP tests in Calc and Stat. English I’m not strong in, so it was stupid for me to take that test. Live and learn!

UMich CoE, match for in state, high match for oos. For computer science, you may consider LSA as well. It would be easier than CoE to get in.
