What are my chancces for these schools? thanks.

Are you going to repeat 9th grade?

@Terremoto: Where do you want to get in the most?

Welcome to CC! :)

Bump!

And I like Lawrenceville the most, but I also really like Exeter… Agh

You sound like a fine candidate, but those schools have tons of fine candidates. Do you have a hook- geographic diversity, URM, etc.? I think you’ve got decent, but not shoo-in, chances.

@stargirl3 Actually, I’ve decided to go for tenth.

@pdl100 I speak 5 languages fluently, and learning Spanish now, would that be considered a hook?

Seriously? I speak two and I thought I was cool! :-"

Yeah, it would help you a lot, but a hook is also something bigger and major that would help the school to build their numbers. Speaking five (six?) languages fluently is really, really cool and impressive, but it won’t show up in the schools’ numbers, like URM, people of color, percent on financial aid, etc. would. I’m not saying that you’re not a great candidate, just trying to put it in perspective.
