I think you have a good chance of getting accepted but UF is just one of those colleges that has weird acceptance patterns. Theres numerous people who have been accepted to top 20 colleges in the US and cannot get accepted to UF. At the same time, I know people that do not even have as good credentials as you and have been accepted. My brother has been at UF for the past 3 years so I visit frequently and I’ve spoken to his roommates and frat brothers and have heard the same thing from a majority of them which is they don’t really know why they were accepted. Some of them had 2200 SAT scores, high gpas, and strong extracurriculars while others did average and both types were accepted. If you don’t get accepted, don’t think you did anything wrong in high school because you do have strong credentials, I just have never understood UF’s admission decisions. Still apply, you never know, good luck!

@ems124 is completely right. UF has a funny way of accepting people. Some people I know got okay grades and 1600-1800 on the SAT and average ACT scores and they got in (surprising). I also know some people who have never even seen a B before, amazing test scores and etc but they got declined. Its crazy, but so far your grades, rank, EC’s, and everything else looks on point! Just try taking the ACT again in September. The higher the better. But since you’ve played football for 4 year that’s an extra bonus, the Gators love their football players. I’m applying to and am in the same boat as you. Best thing to do is pray, cross your fingers and make sure everything on your application is nothing less then perfect. Good luck!
