Hi everyone!

I applied to Madison about 3 weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! I’m a Wisconsin student from a nationally ranked high school and I have about a 3.8 GPA and a 30 on the ACT. My father and grandfather both attended UW Madison (does this have any effect? I have heard mixed things about legacies) and I had my English teacher read both of my essays.

Also, about when would I hear back? I’m dying to know if I got in.

In the past, Wisconsin resident applicants were accepted at a rate of 70%. Your GPA and ACT are fine.

You will hear back (admit, deny, postponed) no later than about January 31.
