Hey everyone! I am currently a freshman at GWU looking to transfer to UPenn, Cornell, Columbia, Brown, U-Chicago, DUke and Georgetown.

Here are my stats:

GPA (GW) - 3.75 (1 B+, 4 As) [majoring in Psychology]
GPA (HS) - 4.8/4
SAT - 2260
Have three outstanding recs from GW professors who know me well

College Extracurriculars: conducting psychology research, volunteer at GW hospital, Acapella, freshman representative of ethnic minority club, volunteering and tutoring at lowest income school in DC
HS Extracurriculars: President of Drama Club, acted in 40 shows, tutor, neuroengineering science research (won several awards)…

As a fellow transfer student I believe that you have a solid shot at it as long as your essay has a compelling and specific reason for you wanting to transfer to each of those institutions.

However at the same time I don’t know if a 3.75 is good enough to put you in the mix for the institutions you are mentioning as the transfer rate for all those colleges except for maybe Cornell are extremely low.
