Chance Me!!!

Hi Yalehopeful,
Thanks for chancing me on my thread. As for your chances at Yale, I think you have a 30-40% chance. Your extracurriculars seem to be mostly a wide array of club positions, however you do have some good stuff in there.

Fellow Yale SCEA applicant here too! Good luck :slight_smile:

I think you have an extremely strong shot at all these schools, (Definitely all the UCs). All the ivies are pretty unpredictable though, but seriously you are an extremely strong applicant. Good luck!

@OOooGs Thanks for the response! I’ve always enjoyed being active in my school’s activities, which is why there’s so many clubs :slight_smile:

@andyprep thanks so much!

@GLPDickson Good luck!!!

Did you get into Yale? I think SCEA came out today

@SMcOsk It comes out tomorrow! I appreciate your interest :slight_smile: I may wait to open my results until Friday, but I’ll definitely update you on the final decision!

@SMcOsk Deferred! Oh well

@londondad I remembered your comment on this thread and just wanted to update you. After getting deferred from Yale, I added a few more colleges to my list. Among them were Williams and Johns Hopkins!

^ Sounds great. Good luck

Thank you! @londondad

Hey! I’m just going to do the same thing u did for me.

Yale SCEA - waitlist (at Brown, where I got deferred, the acceptance rate for deferees is actually the same for RD applicants, but idk what it’s like at Yale)
Harvard - reject
Princeton - reject
Columbia - reject
Duke - accept? Don’t know much about Duke
Rice - accept/waitlist
Vanderbilt - accept
Brown - waitlist/reject
Dartmouth - accept
Northwestern - waitlist
Stanford - reject
UPenn - reject
USC - accept
Accept at all UCs

We have pretty similar profiles! I’m majoring in English at most of my schools and minoring in environmental science (all my community service is environmentally focused). Just out of curiosity, could u pm me your essay? It sounds great!

@ap012199 Thanks for chancing me! No offense, but I would prefer not to share my essay. It’s fairly personal.

Do you have any of the other results?

Can you chance me, please?

Take this with a grain of salt.
Yale SCEA - deferred- waitlist. (Considering the chances of being deferred-accept are noticeably low.)
Harvard - waitlist
Princeton - reject
Columbia - waitlist
Duke - accept
Rice - accept
Vanderbilt - accept
Brown - it could go anyway. 50/50 accept/ waitlist
Dartmouth - again, too close to call. 70/30 accept/ waitlist
Northwestern - accept
Stanford - reject.
UPenn - again, too close to call if you applied CAS. Wharton- reject.
USC - accept
Accept at all UCs

@bubblepop12444 Thank you! I was just admitted to USC with a Presidential scholarship two days ago, so you were right about at least one!!! :slight_smile:

Btw, I did apply CAS for UPenn.

@HopefulHoya1103 I’ve only heard from Yale, which was a deferral, and USC. I received the Presidential scholarship from USC, which is a half tuition scholarship that will save my family over $100,000 if I take them up on the offer. Also, I commented on your chance me thread!

Chance me?
