What are my chances of admission/scholarships RD and or EDII?
@stressed14796 it is so hard for anyone to really chance someone! But, my comments would be that your weighted GPA seems low for the amount of AP classes that you have taken. What kind of grades did you get in those AP classes (I guess I am assuming they are weighted a 5 on a 4,0 scale, so I would have expected a higher weighted??). Your best chances would probably be in the ED round, although Vandy is competitive either way. If you write great essays and have wonderful recs…you probably have a chance. Did you take any SAT subject tests. I always think those can only help.
I wouldn’t worry too much about your grades - AP scores are good, ACT is good, the GPAs are in about the right range, and as long as you have strong recs you should have all your bases covered.
Overall, test scores look solid, grades look solid, ECs look solid. I would say you have good chances in either round, although EDII will most likely be easier. RD is pretty tough to predict since they waitlist a lot of solid candidates who fit generally within the class profile but aren’t locks (which is where you are - everything fits in with the class, but you’re not going to be exceptional).
Just make sure to do well on the subjective parts (essays, recs) and see what happens. Unfortunately, we can only distinguish very generally where you’re at, but I’d say your chances are good.
Scholarships are way too hard for anyone to predict though, so I won’t go there. Usually it seems like the people who get them have either very “pointy” applicants (where they have a really distinct story, and are really skilled/accomplished in one field) or people who are well-rounded champions at everything (i.e. not just well-rounded, but 36/4.0/all 5’s/state or national level EC awards). It’s too difficult to see in a CC post whether you fit in any of those bins.
