Are you a Junior or Senior? Senior grades are not considered in the UC’s admission decision.
UC’s only use 10-11th grades in their GPA calculation so you need to calculate your UC GPA (capped weighted).
https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted) and not major specific:
UCD: 56.5%
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:
UCD: 1220-1480
I would say that based on your posted stats and your intended major which impacted at UCD, that your chances are less than 50% so a low Reach.
Aim for at least a 1400 SAT and if you are not a Senior, you want a UC GPA around 4.1+.
Best of luck.
I’m a junior, but there’s a 60/40 chance I’m graduating this year. I checked my UC GPA its also a 3.9 but I’m also going to include some more honors classes which will be included on the transcript when I finish them… so do I have a really low chance or what exactly? I have a feeling it will get up to a 4.1 or above after the other grades are added.
You are applying to a competitive major. Your UC GPA is around the 25th percentile and your projected target SAT average. You have solid EC’s but graduating early with less HS course rigor than fellow applicants will impact your chances. Unless you have exhausted your HS course curriculum, there seems to be no good reason to graduate early.

I am not saying you do not have a chance, just not a great chance at this point so apply widely.
Last question lol thanks for your help but do you think if I got above a 30 act or 1400 sat id have a good chance w good letters of rec and a good essay??
UCD does not accept LOR’s, but bumping up your test scores and having good personal insight essays will definitely help your application. Unfortunately there are no guarantees so all you can do is present the best possible application and apply to a wide variety of schools so you have several options in the Spring.
UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, UC Merced, San Diego State, CSU Long Beach, San Jose State are all good options as a Biology major. My neighbor went to CSU Monterey Bay as a Biology major and is currently attending USC for Dental school to doing well at your undergraduate program is more important than the name on the school you attend.
Hi, I did more research on UCD majors and discovered GDB, which I didn’t expect them to have. Do you think I’d have a chance for that major?
GBD is in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science so they do not admit by major. Odds are probably better than as a Biological Sciences major but your test scores will need some improvement for UCD regardless.
