Chance me

Please chance me for all the uc. I have a 3.65 weighted 10-11 and 1440 sat. I am applying for history for all the ucs except agriculture for Davis.

Weighted GPA is your capped weighted UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

You have a competitive SAT for many of the campuses but with 6 of the 9 UC campuses that have an average UC capped weighted GPA of 4.0+, your GPA will make it tough for most. UC’s tend to be more GPA focused vs. test focused although both are considered very important. What is your HS course rigor and EC’s? Make sure you spend time on your personal insight essays to make you stand out.

So some statistical data for the UC’s based on capped weighted UC GPA and not major specific:

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:

UCB: 1.8%
UCLA: 2.2%
UCSD: 7.2%
UCSB: 10.1%
UCI: 11.1%
UCD: 16.6%
UCSC: 43.8%
UCR: 63.3%

2018 UC capped weighted GPA averages:
UCB: 4.23
UCLA: 4.23
UCSD: 4.16
UCSB: 4.13
UCI: 4.13
UCD: 4.11
UCSC: 3.96
UCR: 3.81
UCM: 3.71

2018 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:

UCB: 1360-1540

UCLA: 1340-1540
UCSD: 1300-1520
UCSB: 1270-1500
UCD: 1220-1480
UCI: 1230-1490
UCSC: 1210-1450
UCR: 1130-1380
UCM: 1020-1280

Target schools UC Merced and Riverside. Santa Cruz is definitely possible. The rest of the schools will be tough admits but worth an application.

I see no solid safety so if you are a California resident, make sure you select 2 Cal States (preferably one in your local service area) as a Safety.

Best of luck.

H.S course rigor is pretty good. My school tho is pretty competitive, being one of the top public high schools in california. My extracurriculars are little lacking but I have some leadership positions that will hopefully make me stand out.

Attending a competitive school can make a difference in your chances. I know most schools do not rank anymore but how does your GPA compare to the top students in your school? Your SAT score does show you are a very capable student/applicant and your GPA will taken into consideration and context based on your HS, but you are still well below the averages for most of the UC’s.

Make sure you have some safety schools that you are willing to attend as a backup. UC’s tend to be very unpredictable.

UCM will probably take you, the rest are going to be a stretch. All of the CSUs except SLO would be happy to have you. Be sure to apply broadly.
good luck
