So I'm not sure about applying for financial aid, cause I heard it affects your admissions, idk so still thinking. If any of you have advice, feel free to post or PM!

mmmm. forgot school is extremely competitive 500+ students in each class and sends alot to ivy's. idk if thats good or bad but whatever. Oh we also got ranked silver in the U.s news thingamobober.

Also
founder of Amnesty International Huron High School Chapter and President( can't believe I forgot this)
So on my app should I say founder or just President???

i think u have a good chance at all the schools up there if your school is extremely competitive. how many get into ivys from ur school? u have good v hours and ecs, but the 3.75 w is not too great especially for wharton.

no taking SAT II's in June.... however some Ivy league schools only need Act and writing, so I'm still kinda considering wheter to take them or not.....

Unless you do brilliantly on the SATs, MIT and Wharton are pretty big reaches... grades aren't spectacular (and why is your weighted so low if you have a tough courseload?), and asianness never helps.

The reason my weighted is so low, because my schools honor range is on a 4.0 scale not the usual 5.0 for ap's and honors.
Thanks for all of the replies be as blunt as you want, I kinda need a reality check.

Defn retake your ACT and try to get in the 34-35 range at least. Your GPA is a bit low but if your school's just like that....

Congrats on the ISEF and science awards! They're a definite hook (a little off topic, but what was your project on? I'm into science fairs as well, lol). Did you attend any summer programs such as MITES or a science internship? Cause that would defn get you into MIT.

I think with all your science stuff, you have a much better chance getting into MIT or the arts and science colleges then Wharton and stuff cause that's where all your credentials lie. But who knows? College admins are pretty random. Good luck!

Michigan is NOT a definite, I applied out of an Ann Arbor HS 2 years ago with a 3.7 and a 29 ACT and was rejected. Granted, a 32 is better, but I have seen people with great applications get rejected out of Ann Arbor.

Here's an article of another person I know who was homecoming queen, class VP, and had a 3.8 GPA, was taking 4 AP classes during a semester, yet didn't get in.

intel should help you a bunch, your GPA and ACT are a bit low for your top reaches, but you have a good shot at the other schools that you are applying to.
