ACADEMICS
I can't take the SSAT (nearest centre is six and a half hours away) but gonna contact individual schools and ask if they'll accept the normal SAT I. I'm making 1700s in the ordinary SAT without studying (waiting for my prep book to arrive) and I'm making 75th percentile in CR, 51st percentile in maths & 84th percentile in WR and that's for high school seniors. The CR & M are from a few months ago, and WR only a few days ago so hopefully I've improved on the other two even more.

My classes for this year are:
English 9
World History & Literature (2 credits)
Rhetoric
Accelerated Algebra 1 & 2
Biology
Latin
French III
Fine Arts

I also have a research paper (6-8 pages) that should "attempt to prove a theory about some historical event or series of events, using three to eight history resources, both primary (the works of Plato) and secondary (a critic's book about the works of Plato) so I'm hoping to send that along with my application if they'll accept it because I think it'll be something that'll reinforce my application?

While I was in school I was in G&T and all highest level classes and could probably get that confirmed in writing if it'll help.

EXTRA CURRIC

Extra curriculars are more of an 'american thing' and not very common over here, unfortunately but I was in G&T in school. Extra curriculars are one of the things I'm most looking forward to at prep school though. (:

CHANCE ME

Chance me for those elite ones everyone wants into? :D Exeter in particular.

Thank you!

Hmm, your academics sound perfectly fine, but it can really hurt you if you don’t have anything else besides school-related stuff, even if you show interest in beginning extracurriculars at boarding school.
Many times it will be VERY late to start something, especially anything instrument-related.

Extra-curriculars aren’t an “American thing”, as I know people in other countries play sports, instruments, and help out in the community.

Have you volunteered anywhere, or played any instruments/sports before?
