Chance my son after applying to UF.

Hello all,

I posted my son’s credentials a few months ago. A lot of it was incomplete because he had not taken all of his tests and his ECs and volunteer hours were also incomplete. Here is the updated resume for my son after he applied to UF last week.

How do you think he will fare as far as getting accepted to UF?

He is also applying to USF, UCF, FSU, Clemson and Alabama.

Prospective Major: Engineering

He is out of state: Pennsylvania

Had his essay looked at and checked by a friend who is an English professor at a local major University. Said it was impressive. Here’s hoping.

High School stopped doing class rank but was 15 out of 291 as the time they stopped. Top 5-6%.

We hear that UF is very unpredictable as to who they submit. So we are hoping.

Thanks for looking!

Your son has great academic records also good ECs, he has enormous chances to get in.
Suggestions :

  1. Detail his work, by activities, hours, etc.
  2. Apply for housing early November.
  3. Once he is admitted, apply for Honors Program, check its website.
  4. Since he is going to Engineering, once admitted I encourage him to apply for STEPUP PROGRAM, it’s a great program, they accept no more than 30 students and really will became a family on summer B, my son enjoyed his experience.
    Is your son first generation?
    I hope this helps.
    Good luck.

Thanks, Gatordad2021! We plan to apply for housing as soon as we can. I am waiting on the follow-up email from UF. He plans to apply to Honors, as well. Thanks for letting me know about the STEPUP Program. I’ll have to look in to that.

My son is not first generation.

Thanks!

Dan

Your welcome and good luck to your future gator.
Enjoy the process.
