Chance my twin brother (We want to go to the same college)

Basically, my brother and I both want to go to the same college. I'm not overly concerned with my stats (GPA 3.87 UW, 7th in class, NHS, 30 ACT), but my bro's stats aren't the greatest. We both want ot major in engineering, which also complicates matters with his lowish GPA. I'm planning to major in Electrical engineering, and he wants to go into computer engineering

Bro:
GPA: 3.2 Weighted (about 3.0 unweighted)
Rank: 68/216 (~70%)
ACT: 26 (32 Sci, 25 Math, 22 reading, 24 English)
EC: All 4 years marching and concert band. 2 years of jazz band, pep band, and theater. Scholastic Bowl, WYSE Team, and Academic Team 1 year.

My brother has been in honors math and science all 4 years.

4 AP classes (Euro - 1, US History - 4, Stats, and AB Calculus)

Taken Adv. Chemistry (4 credit hours) and Adv. Composition (3 creidt hours)

He's doing very well this year though, with all As with the exception of 2 **. Although his GPA is kind of low, his class choices have been very rigorous (in my school anyways).

Colleges:
UIUC - Denied (I was accepted though...)
UIC - Match? maybe a safety?
Purdue -
Universy of Madison Wisconsin -
University of Minnesota Twin Cities -
Iowa State University - Safety?
Penn State -
Ohio State -

My preference was for UIUC, but my 2nd choices were Purdue, UWMadison, and UM Tiwn Cities. My 3rd choices are Iowa State and UIC ( I was thinking 1-2 years UIC and transferring to UIUC) Penn State and Ohio State are other colleges that might be considered :x

Thanks for all help! I'll chance back :D !

Your rank, GPA, and ACT are really incredible. I understand why you’d want to stay with your brother but you shouldn’t let him hold you back if you got into your first choice school, and then not go because he got rejected. Of course, it’s your decision though :)

These are the schools I know:
UIC - high match
Purdue- low match
Universy of Madison Wisconsin - low match (he’s on the low end for ACT)
Iowa State University - Safety
Penn state - match

I agree with collegebound. Dont let your bro hold you back too much. But in reality, there are some excellent colleges with a bang for the buck. And some if those you have already mentioned. Iowa (match), Purdue (match), Iowa State (safety), UW-Madison is probably a reach and its pretty expensive.

Thanks for your input guys  I don’t really feel like my brother would be holding me back if he got accepted to Purdue, Madison, or Minnesota because these are pretty good engineering schools (within the top 25 if I remember correctly). If we have to go to UIC though, I do feel like I might be held back, but I don’t like thinking that way because he’s my brother :S.
