Chance of a Revoked Admission?

I have recently been admitted to the University of California, Irvine. However, I realized shortly afterwards that I had forgotten to include a class I had taken over the previous summer. Essentially, I took a Calculus course at a community college in the summer of 2005, which I unfortunately earned a grade of D in. When I submitted my UC Application in November of 2005 though, I forgot to mention this one class. So when UCI admitted me, they were unaware of this grade.

I talked with my admissions counselor at UCI, and they replied:

"I cannot tell you how your admissions will be affected. However, upon receipt of official transcripts your admissions will be subject to withdrawal."

So, I ordered for official transcripts to be sent from the community college to UCI at the beginning of April. Well, today is April 26th (the May 1 national reply date coming up very soon) and UCI's online admission site still does not indicate that they have received the transcripts from the community college. (I had been notifed earlier that UCI would give me a decision on whether or not my admissions would be revoked or not by May 1, however, since they still have not received the transcripts they won't be abnle to make that decision.)

I am guessing that somehow my order for the transcripts never got processed, and as a result I am going to have to submit my SIR to UCI, taking the chance that my admission may be revoked when UCI finally receives the transcripts.

I am currently retaking the equivalent math course (a half year first-year college calculus course) at my high school, and it is my intention to take the AP test.

So basically, will this missing piece of information from my UC Application cause UCI to revoke my admission? It is the one and only class that I did not report, and coincidentally it is the only class I received an unsatisfactory grade in. If it's any consolation, I applied as an English major, and I got a D in the math course I took during summer 2005 at the community college.

Should I take the chance of having my admission revoked, and submitting my SIR to UCI? Or should I play it safe and apply to another campus such as UCR? (which I have already spoken with, and they informed me that my admissions would not be affected.)

I would send in the deposit and hope that they won't revoke your addmission. Even if you accept UCR's addmission, UCR will still see that you didn't put down Calculus.

I seem to have edited my post at the same time you replied.

I have already spoken with UCR, and they have informed me that my admission will NOT be affected.

Ok, I would still take the chance with UCI. If you do get revoked, you can go to a community college and transfer. I don't think you will be satisfy with the education UCR will give you.

UCR is not that bad...honestly maybe the students there might not be that great but it's not a bad school.

So infamy, do you have an opinion on whether I should run the risk and submitting my SIR to UCI? Or playing it safe and applying to UCR?

if i were you i'd send the Irvine SIR. even if you get your admissions rescinded, you'll just spend 2 years at CC and transfer to a UC after that. if you absolutely do not want to go to CC and don't even want to take a small risk of getting admissions rescinded, then you should take UCR. but IMO you should probably be O.K. for Irvine, as long as if it looks like an honest mistake and you make up the D.

Yeah, I suppose I could just submit my SIR to UCI.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this, and how likely it will be that UCI revokes my admission?

I just submitted my SIR to UCI. Shortly after doing so, I checked my status online, and apparently UCI has received the college transcript.

Now that they have the official transcript of the grade, when will I know if they will rescind my admission or not? Will they send me a notification informing me "Your admission will\will not be rescinded"? And how soon can I expect this?

Well, my admissions counselor finally got back to me. The reply was as follows:

"Thank you for the information. I have noted your
file."

What does this mean? Will my admission be revoked? Are they not going to revoke my admission? Have they not come to a decision, but are simply notifying me that they received the information (but that a decision will be reached sometime in the future?)

^ OMG stop freakin' out. All they are saying is they got the info... that's more like a formal response they give everyone...

I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED.....i had a 3.9 gpa, all my classes were going well i was looking at maybe a 3.5 gpa, but now my anthro class i might be getting a D....im planning to go to uci......will they revoke me for a D on my last semester?

maybe.....
