UCI does not care about SAT scores that you submit after the December ones. They also do not consider senior year grades as a reason to accept on appeal.

As all UC campuses say on their website, you need new and compelling information. For example, SAT scores that were sent in on time but for some reason College Board screwed up, and they didn’t receive it.

it was taken before december…

Chance of appeal is very low unless it’s something magical, so as harsh as it is, I’m sorry, but yeah, it’s better than raising false hopes. If you didn’t get in, you didn’t get in, and unless you won some national competition or something between the application period to now, there isn’t much hope.

They also won’t consider new awards or scholarships that you won after the application period.

Since they judge all applicants through the same period, it would be unfair if they took in new awards/opportunities you were presented with after that time period. Basically, you have to have done everything right and someone else made a mistake that you had no control over. This doesn’t mean deaths in the family, which a lot of people use to justify low grades anyway.

Last year they didn’t accept any appeals, but the year before I heard from people that they accepted a lot. I would just give it a shot.
