I’m a rising high school senior applying to Penn early decision this fall. I have a weighted 4.33 gpa and a 32 ACT score (which I am trying to raise to a 34). Between my sophomore, junior, and senior year I will have taken 8 AP classes (AP U.S. History, A.P. Literature and Composition, A.P. Biology, A.P. World History, A.P. Language and Composition, A.P. Calculus A.B., A.P. U.S. Government, and A.P. Spanish Language) as well as several honors courses. I’m involved in several extracirriculars and hold multiple leadership positions such as editor in chief of my high school’s newspaper and I am a DECA officer. I’m applying to Wharton, but I’m worried because the second semester of my junior year I got a B in pre calculus (I normally am a straight A math student) and I’ve heard that in order to be accepted into Wharton you need to have all A’s in math. Provided I do well in AP Calculus next year, do I have a realistic chance of being accepted?
