Thank you again.

What did you put for your major for each school? getting accepted depends on the major you choose. Also, show us what you got on your SAT 2’s.

Anyways, I will be honest with you. Your SAT and ACT scores are too low for UCLA, UCIrvine, Cal, UCSD, and UC Davis. But it looks like you took a lot of AP’s and Honor’s classes and internship as a medical assistant is very impressive. If you also have strong personal statement(I assume), then this is what I would say.

UCLA - 18% chance
UC Berkeley - 17% chance
UC Irvine - 55% chance
UC Davis - 60% chance
UC San Diego - 40% chance
UC Riverside - 90% chance

I would also wanna recommend applying for UCSB and UCSC to see if you can get into those schools… but i guess it’s too late.

and yes it is too late, however im currently looking into something of an appeal for late applications? so im working on that when the campus are open after the holidays

Berkeley Molecular and Cell Biology - Plan II (Neurobiology)
Irvine Biological Sciences Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Los Angeles Neuroscience
San Diego Physiology and Neuroscience

i was planning on changing my majors which they said i was able to do when i call each campus separately.

UC schools are becoming more and more selective every year, meaning each school will become really hard to get in, especially in science fields. I don’t think it’s a good idea to appeal for late applications. Just wait until acceptance letters come on March and be ready to appeal for college if you are wait-listed.

oh okay, that makes much sense.
thank you so much linoch.
i also had a question about the ELC,
does that help in any way of my situation?
i was on honor guard last year for being top 10 of my senior class…

yes, i have ELC eligibility thank goodness, and i was about to call them first thing on the 3rd if i can withdraw my application and choose the other campuses… but im not sure how that works.

UC Irvine, from what i was researching have beeing accepting all the ELC as of 2011-2012

Wow your pretty lucky to get ELC. I’d check on what mom2 said and see if you’ll get your app forwarded to othe UCs like SB and Davis. That might be your saving grace. You should start looking on some private schools as well, you could qualify for more aid. You shouldn’t hold your breath for UCLA or UCB. UCSD is not out totally out of reach yet if you can still take a SAT in January. Expect admissions from Riverside.

Honestly if I were you, i’d try to schedule and retake the SAT if you think you can do significantly better. You should check the UCSD point system (can be found by doing a quick Google search). Your scores are on the lower side & you don’t have extracurriculars so you might miss by a couple hundred points.

well they said that the last SAT/ACT scores you can use is December of 2010.
and we’re at a tight financial stage right now so i wouldnt be able to afford it.
and you think forwarding the application would work?
